Hi All!
I hope your week is off to a great start. As always, here are your weekly tips and tricks to keep you on track with your goals in life and business.
1. “Facing it, always facing it, that’s the way to get through. Face it.” ― Conrad Joseph
Have you ever noticed that when you avoid your fears that they get worse, not better? We tend to think that our mood improves when we ignore what’s uncomfortable, but the opposite is true. Understand what makes you anxious or fearful and face it head-on.
2. “You don’t get over the fear of doing something by not doing it.” ― Zero Dean
In this week’s article, The 3 Biggest Cons of Staying in Your Comfort Zone, I discuss how staying in your comfort zone can be detrimental to your health, career, and relationships. If you stay comfortable for too long, you’re closing yourself off to personal growth and opportunities, and you might never live the life you’ve always dreamt of.
3. “Make a promise to yourself that you will always choose growth over safe and dreams over fear.” ― Brittany Burgunder
Take a second to picture yourself pursuing your biggest dream. What feelings arise? Chances are that you felt fear: the fear of failure, uncertainty, social rejection, or other circumstances that would make it hard to act on this goal. This is a normal response when we think of stepping outside of our comfort zone. Learn to deal with your fears and you can achieve anything.
Until next week,
Mike van der Poel
