- Something to Reflect On🪞: “What’s one thing I can do right now to move closer to my goal?”
1. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ― Winston S. Churchill
Success is not final because even when we achieve our goals, there is always more to do and more to strive for. Success and failure are not the end-all-be-all in life and business.
2. “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.” ― W.C. Fields
Perseverance is important, but so is knowing when to move on. There’s a balance between persistence and the ability to recognize when a goal or endeavor is no longer viable. For example, a business that has struggled to make a profit for an extended period, despite repeated attempts to improve, and has little to no demand in the market, may no longer be a viable option.
