Have you ever noticed that physical pain only exists when you’re aware of it? Muscle aches and feelings of soreness only bother us when we pay attention to them. The same is true for our feelings. When you feel down and reinforce that feeling with thoughts such as “I’m always depressed” or “My life sucks”, then that sensation will only become more extreme.
The key to feeling better physically and mentally is to learn how to accept negative sensations and shift our energy to positive ones. With time and practice, you’ll realize that good feelings were there all along.
2. “All profound distraction opens certain doors. You have to allow yourself to be distracted when you are unable to concentrate.” – Julio Cortázar
