1. “With every challenge you face, there is an opportunity hidden that will lead you towards the path of wealth and abundance.” ― Stephen Richards
Sometimes opportunities will present themselves that can change your life forever. Taking action is often not easy because you have to consider a lot of factors: What’s your gut telling you? Is your decision only motivated by money? How would you feel about the opportunity once some time has passed? Does it put your relationships at risk? Does it move you closer to your goals? Could it damage your reputation?
2. “I can’t give you a sure-fire formula for success, but I can give you a formula for failure: try to please everybody all the time.” ―Herbert Bayard Swope
One way to guarantee failure is trying to please everybody. Always trying to keep others happy keeps you from doing the things that matter to you. You’ll be so busy trying to satisfy other people that you never take any time to satisfy yourself. You want to be yourself, do your own thing, and don’t cave under social pressure.
3. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ― Winston S. Churchill
When you start a business, failure is inevitable. You will eventually get knocked down. You might lose money, friends, or waste your time on something that doesn’t produce any returns. What matters is that you don’t let these moments define you and continue on your path.
Until next week,
Mike van der Poel
P.S. It means a lot
